One of the most common questions I get asked today is ” How Do I get a Blog?”
Well there is no single, simple answer so I thought that I would write a series of articles on the basics just to get those unfamilair with this incredibly useful marketing tool on the first rungs of the ladder.
I created my first blog in 1995; it’s still out there somewhere, gathering electrons (cyberspace dust!).
It was a poor effort, a bit like my initial efforts on Twitter, but with time, practice, feedback and lots of advice, I now run 15 blogs, most of them (I hope) informative and several of them profitable, as they actually bring in customers.
I don’t pretend to be a blog guru, but I have learned enough at the feet of the masters of the game to be able to pass on some useful information about blogging; especially what to do and what not to do.
This is not a definitive guide on blogging – that volume will never be written because as soon as it is published it will be out of date.
This is just a general guide outlining some of the aspects of blogging; where you can go for free tools and hosting – which may serve as something that might whet your appetite for further, specialist information, which I will be glad to provide at the website http://www.HowDoIGetABlog.com, which is scheduled for launch in February 2012. Register your interest on the site, and once it launches, subscribe to the newsletter, read the articles, but most of all, get blogging.
